Lesson 5: Fronting and Modifiers Key Stage 3: English

'Mending a Broken Leg'

This lesson is extremely helpful in the teaching of some difficult grammatical terms.

Pupils can not only hear the dramatic extract but also have the opportunity to work in pairs to rehearse the language that might have been used by the radio doctor and the patient. There is a very real context here for the use of specific grammar techniques.

Prepare to get technical!
